- What is a dedicated server and how does it work?
- A dedicated server is a physical machine reserved for a single customer. Unlike shared hosting or VPS, you get the full CPU, RAM, and disk of that hardware—with no virtualization layer sharing resources with other tenants.
- What can I use a dedicated server for?
- Dedicated servers suit high-traffic sites, custom deployments, game servers, streaming, ecommerce platforms, email systems, and data-heavy workloads where performance and isolation matter. They are a strong step up when you outgrow VPS.
- Do you offer Windows dedicated servers?
- VeyroHost provisions Linux distributions such as AlmaLinux, Ubuntu, Debian, and CloudLinux. With root and IPMI access on unmanaged plans, you may install Windows using your own license; Windows licensing and support remain your responsibility.
- Is dedicated hosting secure and private?
- Your hardware is single-tenant—no resource sharing with other customers. Network filtering and optional managed firewall setup are available depending on the management tier you choose with sales. You remain responsible for OS hardening, passwords, and application security when you have root access.
- VPS vs dedicated—which should I choose?
- Choose VPS when virtualized resources and faster vertical scaling are enough. Choose dedicated when you need the full physical machine, predictable bare-metal performance, and hardware-level isolation for mission-critical or high-throughput workloads.
- Can I upgrade from VPS to a dedicated server?
- Yes. Contact sales or our support team and we will recommend a dedicated configuration and outline migration steps. Eligible orders include free migration assistance.
- What control panels are available?
- Optional control panels such as cPanel/WHM or Webuzo can be added where licensed for your OS. Pricing and account limits depend on the panel tier—ask sales for current options when you order.
- How long does setup take, and are there setup fees?
- There is no separate setup fee for standard dedicated configurations. Most unmanaged Linux servers are provisioned the same business day after order review. Fully managed setups may take longer while we complete hardening and handoff.
- Where are dedicated servers located?
- Dedicated servers are hosted in Phoenix, Arizona (USA). Additional regions may be added later; current availability is confirmed when you talk to sales.
- What happens when intro pricing ends?
- Dedicated plans are billed as a prepaid intro term at the published intro rate. The total due for that term is shown on each plan card. After the intro term, renewal is billed at the published regular monthly rate unless you cancel future renewal before the term ends. Canceling stops future charges; it does not automatically create a prorated refund for unused prepaid time—see our Refund Policy.
