1. Introduction

This Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy ("UDRP Policy") describes how VeyroHost LLC, doing business as VeyroHost ("VeyroHost", "we", "us", "our"), handles domain name disputes under the ICANN UDRP and related registry policies.

The UDRP is a mandatory administrative procedure for resolving certain disputes between domain name registrants and third parties over the registration and use of domain names in generic top-level domains (gTLDs) and select country-code TLDs (ccTLDs) that adopt UDRP.

This Policy applies to domain names registered, transferred, or renewed through VeyroHost. It supplements our Terms of Service and does not replace rights available in court.

2. Scope and Applicability

The UDRP applies to disputes alleging:

This Policy covers domains registered through VeyroHost as registrar or authorized reseller. Some ccTLD registries operate separate dispute policies; those registry-specific rules prevail for domains under their authority.

  • The domain name is identical or confusingly similar to a trademark or service mark in which the complainant has rights.
  • The registrant has no rights or legitimate interests in the domain name.
  • The domain name was registered and is being used in bad faith.

3. ICANN and Registry Requirements

VeyroHost complies with ICANN consensus policies, including the UDRP as set forth at icann.org/resources/pages/help/dndr/udrp-en. Registrants agree to mandatory administrative proceedings as a condition of registration.

By registering a domain through VeyroHost, you agree that:

Registry operators may impose additional dispute resolution requirements. VeyroHost will implement registry-mandated outcomes in addition to UDRP decisions.

  • Disputes will be subject to mandatory administrative proceedings under the UDRP.
  • You will submit without objection to the jurisdiction of the courts in the location specified in the registrar's registration agreement for enforcement of UDRP decisions.
  • You will comply with decisions issued by UDRP providers.
  • Your domain registration may be locked, transferred, or cancelled as required by a UDRP decision or court order.

4. Filing a UDRP Complaint

Complainants must file UDRP complaints with an ICANN-approved dispute resolution provider. VeyroHost does not accept UDRP complaints directly—we are notified by the provider after filing.

Approved providers include the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Forum (formerly NAF), and the Czech Arbitration Court (CAC), among others. Each provider publishes its own supplemental rules and fees.

Complaints must be submitted in the format required by the chosen provider and must include evidence of trademark rights, allegations of lack of legitimate interest, and bad-faith registration or use.

Required complaint elements

A valid complaint typically includes:

  • Complainant's name and contact information.
  • Respondent (domain registrant) details as shown in WHOIS/RDAP.
  • The disputed domain name(s).
  • Identification of trademarks or service marks and jurisdiction of registration.
  • Factual and legal arguments satisfying all three UDRP elements.
  • Requested remedy (usually transfer or cancellation).
  • Payment of the provider's filing fee.

5. Response Procedures

Upon receipt of a complaint, the dispute resolution provider notifies VeyroHost, and we forward notification to the registrant email on file. Registrants typically have twenty (20) calendar days to submit a response.

Failure to respond may result in a default decision in favor of the complainant. Registrants should ensure WHOIS/RDAP contact information is accurate and monitored.

Responses must address all three UDRP elements with supporting evidence, such as proof of legitimate business use, prior rights, or good-faith registration.

6. Role of {BRAND}

VeyroHost acts as registrar and is not a party to UDRP proceedings. We do not evaluate the merits of complaints. Our role is to:

We may place registrar locks on disputed domains during proceedings to preserve status quo, as permitted by ICANN policy.

  • Verify registration details and lock status.
  • Forward provider notifications to registrants.
  • Implement provider decisions within ten (10) business days of receiving the decision, unless a court action is filed.
  • Update domain status (transfer, cancellation, or retention) as directed.
  • Cooperate with providers and courts as required by law.

7. Possible Outcomes

A UDRP panel may decide to:

  • Deny the complaint and leave the domain with the current registrant.
  • Transfer the domain name to the complainant.
  • Cancel the domain name (less common; may result in availability for general registration).
  • In cases of reverse domain name hijacking, the panel may find the complaint was brought in bad faith.

Implementation timeline

Unless the registrant files a lawsuit in a jurisdiction specified in the registration agreement within ten (10) business days of the decision, VeyroHost will implement the panel's decision. During this period, we may lock the domain to prevent transfers.

8. Bad-Faith Registration and Use

ICANN guidelines provide non-exhaustive examples of bad-faith conduct, including:

  • Registering a domain primarily to sell, rent, or transfer it to the trademark owner for excessive compensation.
  • Registering to prevent a trademark owner from using a corresponding domain, if a pattern of such conduct is shown.
  • Registering primarily to disrupt a competitor's business.
  • Using the domain to attract internet users by creating likelihood of confusion with a complainant's mark for commercial gain.
  • Typosquatting popular brands, phishing, or impersonation.

9. Legitimate Interests

Registrants may demonstrate legitimate interests by showing, among other things:

The panel evaluates all evidence holistically. Generic or descriptive domain names may have stronger legitimate use defenses.

  • Bona fide offering of goods or services before notice of dispute.
  • Commonly known by the domain name, even without a trademark.
  • Legitimate noncommercial or fair use without intent to mislead.
  • A valid business name matching the domain.
  • Preparation to use the domain for a genuine project (with credible evidence).

10. Domain Locks, Transfers, and Holds

During UDRP proceedings, VeyroHost may apply clientTransferProhibited or similar locks to prevent unauthorized transfers. Registrants may not transfer a domain to another registrar while a UDRP complaint is pending, except in limited circumstances approved by the provider.

If a UDRP decision orders transfer to the complainant, VeyroHost will transfer the domain to an account designated by the complainant or as directed by the provider.

Redemption or expired domains under dispute may be subject to additional registry rules.

11. Court Actions and Appeals

UDRP decisions are administrative, not judicial. Either party may pursue litigation in court. Registrants may file a lawsuit in the jurisdiction specified in the registration agreement within ten (10) business days to prevent implementation.

Complainants dissatisfied with a denial may pursue trademark infringement claims in appropriate courts.

VeyroHost will comply with valid court orders superseding UDRP outcomes.

12. Abuse and Intellectual Property Reports

For intellectual property concerns that do not qualify for UDRP—or for urgent abuse such as phishing, malware, or illegal content—contact contact@veyrohost.com with:

We investigate abuse reports promptly and may suspend or disable domains that violate our Terms of Service or applicable law, independent of UDRP proceedings.

For copyright infringement on hosted content (non-domain disputes), see our DMCA procedure in the Terms of Service.

  • The domain name in question.
  • Your contact information and relationship to the rights claimed.
  • Description of the infringement or abuse.
  • Supporting documentation (trademark registrations, screenshots, logs).
  • Requested action.

13. WHOIS and Registrant Data

Accurate registrant data is required under ICANN Registration Data Policy. False or privacy-protected data that prevents dispute notification may weaken a registrant's position and can constitute a registration agreement violation.

Where WHOIS privacy or proxy services are offered, VeyroHost maintains underlying registrant data and will disclose it to UDRP providers and as required by law.

14. Policy Updates

We may update this UDRP Policy to reflect changes in ICANN requirements or registry policies. Material updates will be posted on this page. Continued domain registration after updates constitutes acceptance.

ICANN policy changes take precedence over conflicting provisions in this document.
